ABSTRACT

The course provides the common set of knowledge for operators and researchers using machine tools for additive manufacturing processes in general and inkjet deposition machines in particular. At the end of the course, the student has a solid grasping of the effect of the machine architecture and its automation and control features on the additive manufacturing process.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Principles of operation of cartesian CNC systems
  • Additive manufacturing processes: taxonomy, machine architectures, software
  • Inkjet printing

TEACHING ACTIVITIES

The teaching activity includes theoretical lessons and SW/HW emulator exercises. The exam consists of a written test with multiple-choice questions on the topics of the course.
