Lab on Metasurface Printing/Manufacturing

Objectives
This is a laboratory, hands-on course on additive manufacturing via inkjet printing. The student actively follows the whole process of designing a component, setting up the machine and its parameters, defining the printing strategy and the part-program. At the end of the course, the student knows the advantages, features, and limits of inkjet printing.

Ceradrop machine overview
Process setup and proper selection of process parameters
Software: file preparation, slicing and process strategy design

Required Skills
Foundation of Material Science, Foundation of Mechanics and Acoustics, Additive Manufacturing of Metasurfaces and Metamaterials

Course Modality and Verification of Learning
The classes will be given in onsite in the laboratory hosting the Ceradrop machine.
The exam consists of a written test with multiple-choice questions on the topics of the course.
