The M3 Postgraduate Program on Multifunctional Metamaterials and Metastructures at the University of Trento is designed to develop advanced expertise for the design, engineering, manufacturing, and characterization of next-generation artificial materials and structures.

The M3 Program combines materials science, advanced engineering and hands-on experience to address key topics such as:
- Advanced materials design and selection — understanding how structure and properties can be engineered for specific applications
- Modeling, simulation and optimization — developing and analyzing complex multifunctional materials and structures
- Additive manufacturing — exploring advanced fabrication technologies for metallic, ceramic and polymeric metamaterials
- Experimental characterization — evaluating mechanical, thermal, electrical and multifunctional material properties
- From materials to applications — turning innovative material concepts into engineered solutions for real-world industrial challenges

Did you complete a 4-year Bachelor’s degree abroad?
Graduates holding a 4-year Bachelor’s degree obtained abroad are eligible to apply. If admitted, they will follow dedicated learning activities to align with the program requirements.
