Abstract
The use of advanced numerical modeling and simulation techniques is nowadays essential to characterized the behavior and response of complex material and structures. However, classical computing architectures are useless when there is the need of obtaining accurate results in a reasonable computational time in case of multi-functional/multi-physics analysis. This course aims at providing the fundamentals of High Performance Computing (HPC) technologies and infrastructures and of programming techniques for HPC architectures. Applicative examples based on parallel SW programs will complement the theoretical parts.
