M3 Opening Day – Dr. LOMBARDI Talk

The opening event of yesterday marked the official launch of the Postgraduate Program (Master Universitario di II Livello) in “Multifunctional Metamaterials & Metastructures (M3)”, an advanced academic journey designed to cultivate excellence and innovation in the field of non-natural materials and engineered structures.

We were honored to host Dr. Renato Lombardi, who gave an insightful speech on “The Importance of the Research in Advanced Electromagnetics for 5G and 6G Wireless Communication Systems: an Industry View”. His presentation provided a comprehensive perspective on how cutting-edge research in electromagnetics and metamaterials/metasurfaces is pivotal for the evolution of wireless communication technologies, highlighting key industry challenges and opportunities in the transition to 6G and beyond.
