
The objective of the Postgraduate Program (Master Universitario di II Livello)
Multifunctional Metamaterials and Metastructures (M3)
at the Università di Trento is to prepare professionals with a strong foundation in the analysis, design, modeling, simulation, and experimental validation of Multifunctional Metamaterials and Metastructures.
The program covers both theoretical and practical aspects, including:
Foundations:
Explore the theoretical principles of metamaterials and metastructures across multiple disciplines, grounded in physical phenomena relevant to these materials.
Analysis Methods:
Learn the analytical and mathematical techniques for the functional and logical characterization of artificial materials.
Modeling & Simulation:
Master large-scale numerical modeling techniques for complex multifunctional structures, utilizing multi-physical properties through high-performance computing (HPC) and hybrid approaches incorporating Artificial Intelligence.
Realization & Characterization:
Gain hands-on experience in the realization and experimental characterization of multifunctional materials from mechanical, electromagnetic, and structural perspectives.
Applications:
Apply your knowledge to cross-disciplinary challenges across mechanical, structural, electromagnetic, energy, environmental, and marine fields.
